Emilie Sondel is a Licensed Professional Counselor who assists individuals and families on a broad range of clinical issues including Anxiety, Depression, Child Abuse and Neglect, Trauma, Grief and Loss, Family/Life Changes, Parenting Support/Education, and Caregiver & Child Relational Issues such as Attachment Disorders. She provides individual, family, and group psychotherapy for children as young as 3 years old, adolescents and adults. Emilie’s approach centers on promoting the resiliency of individuals through strengthening their sense of self as well as improving the quality of their relationships. She uses a wide range of treatments including Play Therapy, Attachment-based therapies, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Art/Expressive Therapies, Mindfulness and Relaxation to address an individual’s needs. Emilie also values the importance of working in collaboration with individuals and their communities such as families and schools, as well as other service providers. She also has specialized interests in the areas of Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health, Outdoor Experiential Therapy and Animal Assisted Therapy.
